Katharina founded Reimer & Partners because she saw an opportunity for a boutique consultancy that was nimble, client-focused and combined multicultural perspectives with local market understanding.
Katharina is a marketing specialist whose career has spanned both the public and financial sector. She started her career in Germany and her journey to her next to North Africa and the Middle East, designing strategic communications tools to attract foreign investment for emerging market governments. Since moving to Hong Kong in 2005, Katharina has held senior marketing roles for Institutional Investor PLC and ING Investment Management Asia Pacific.
In addition, Katharina is also a passionate advocate and fundraiser for several local charities and philanthropic causes. Her most recent appointment is as a Founding Board member of the Asian University for Women Hong Kong Support Foundation.
Katharina comes from a culturally diverse background with a very unique personal story, and is thus able to adapt and work effectively with a wide range of clients. Katharina holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Bristol (England), which she received a scholarship for and holds a Masters in Economics from the Berlin School of Economics and Law. She has lived in over 20 countries and is fluent in three languages. She is married with a young daughter to an Eurasian husband.
